Installation

We can install any type or brand of audio/video products, regardless of age.  We’ll perform the set up based on your individual needs and vision of use.  We’ll make sure to integrate your new and existing equipment.  Calibrating for optimum sound and picture, with a heavy emphasis on user-friendly operations.

Great service for:

      ·        People who are dissatisfied with a retail installation, or would like to spend their money and get an experienced installer.  (Retail stores charge high prices for installation and it's not because their installers are experienced, it's to cover their overhead.)  Because of high turnover, retail stores do not retain experienced installers.  

      ·        People who were using a company who is now out of business.

      ·        People who have purchased a home with an existing system and don't know how to get it working.

      ·        People who who purchase equipment from an internet reseller who does not offer installation service.

·        People who dislike or do not understand user’s manuals

·        People who have just moved, repainted or remodeled, unplugged their equipment and can't remember  how to hook it back up again.

All items are tested for functionality with you before we leave.

Personalized Instruction

When you need help operating your equipment, forget owner’s manuals; and don’t waste your time waiting on hold hoping to get a fairly competent support representative.  During your training you will not be rushed, and we’ll work at your comfort level.  Feel free to take notes (it is highly recommended.)  The remote(s) will be placed in your hand and you’ll be guided through procedures with the technician present.  You’ll be running your equipment like a pro in no time!

The Hook Up is an authorized Harmony remote dealer.  Whether it be a new remote or updating an existing one we can help.  When a remote is purchased from or programmed by us, phone support is free for the lifetime of the remote (Harmony only offers 90 days from purchase.)  

Our main focus is teaching you how to use your equipment the way that works best for you.

New Equipment Sales

The Hook Up offers sales of new electronic equipment.  We can be very competitive with retail stores and internet resellers.  You can avoid the worry of shipping damage and having warranties and expensive cables forced upon you.  Our product line is based upon quality name products with good histories of reliability.  

·        Save you time and money, we’ll help you find the best deal.

·        Advise you which products are good, and which ones to avoid.

·        You won’t be oversold or pressured to purchase a product that has features you will not utilize.

·        Get the correct accessories needed to make products work according to your vision of usage.

Remote Programming

After your products are installed, your remote(s) situation will be evaluated.  We’ll try to get you down the least number of remotes possible to run your system.  That is possible using the pre-programmed and learning functions of your existing remotes.  If you’d like just one master remote, that is possible too.  We’ll help you choose the right remote, program it and teach you how to use it.  The Hook Up is an authorized Harmony remote dealer.  We work with the new models and the older ones regardless of where they were purchased or who originally programmed them.

Troubleshooting

Have an existing system but you have a problem or do not think it is working correctly?  We can help.  We can evaluate your system making sure it is calibrated for maximum performance.  In many instances, inexperienced installers hook up digital products for analog playback.  If you’ve purchased a home with speaker pre-wiring, we can help you make sense of all the wires and guide you in what is needed to make them all functional.  No problem is too small, even if it’s just recording with a VCR or learning to use a DVD for the first time.   The Hook Up is designed to be affordable and available for anyone to utilize. 

Re-Wires and Upgrades

Ready for some serious performance?  Your system wiring can be evaluated and recommendations can be made to kick-up the performance.  Better quality wiring and cables can mean the difference between good picture and sound to great picture and sound.  If you’re paying for digital, HD cable or satellite services and you’re watching TV on channel 3 or 4 you’re not benefiting from paying for a high-resolution service.  A simple wire upgrade could mean a substantially better picture. 

Services The Hook Up DOES NOT Provide:

Even though we do not provide these services, we can recommend companies that do:

·        Drywall work and plasma/LCD mounting.  Alternatives are suggested.  We cannot move or install cable or phone jacks.

·        Retro wiring.  That means install wiring in existing houses that were not pre-wired. 

·        Satellite installation.  All types, 18, 24 and C-band. 

·        Troubleshooting or installing telephone products.

·        Computer services.  Virus or spyware removal.  For computer services we recommend using Compu-Clean.  Contact them at 623-252-2078. Or Compu-Clean

The Hook Up does not offer equipment repair service, but recommends using Dyna-Tronics for your electronics repair needs. If it's electronics, they can fix it!
